The Blessing Dance or Robam Choun Por is a traditional Khmer dance performed at the beginning of events or ceremonies to welcome, bless and offer good wishes to guests and attendees. Normally, it features female dancers dressed in traditional Khmer Classical Royal Ballet costumes who perform elegant and graceful dance movements while holding golden goblets carrying flower blossoms inside. The flower blossoms are then plucked by the dancers and gently toss them towards the audience – symbolizing blessings from the gods gracefully descending on them.
Indeed, there’s no better way to get the show started than with a Cambodian Blessing Dance. Attend the show early and be sure to experience it!
